Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Excessive doses of yohimbine increases the risk of increased heart rate and blood pressure.
Medical conditions: Patients with one of the following disorders should inform their doctor:
* angina
* depression or other psychiatric disorder
* heart disease
* hypertension
* Kidney disease
* liver disease
Elderly: This medication is not recommended for the elderly.
Other drugs could interact with this medicine?
Yohimbine reduces blood pressure and may increase the effects of other drugs known to cause the decrease in blood pressure. People taking one of these drugs should consult their doctor or pharmacist. Under the circumstances, the doctor may recommend the following measures:
* the replacement of one drug,
* changing the way the drugs are taken or, or
* maintenance treatment.
An interaction between two medications does not always stop taking one of the agents. In many cases, interactions are intended or are managed by close monitoring. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with this medicine. The patient must inform the physician or the physician of all medications, non-prescription drugs, and herbal medicines all it takes. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, decongestants, alcohol, nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, it is important to tell the doctor the agents that are consumed.
